When to come for Hypnosis?
Clients come for hypnosis when they are ready to stop doing something they don’t want to be doing or ready to start doing something they do want to be doing.
How does it work?
Think of hypnosis in terms of the Law of Cause and Effect.
Thoughts = Cause Reality = Effect
Therefore, if we change the cause the reality will naturally change.
Hypnosis works primarily with the sub-conscious (or unconscious) mind. The subconscious mind is the deep driver to our beliefs.
As opposed to the conscious mind, the subconscious does not decide what we deem to be ‘right or wrong’ , logical or illogical, or what we agree or don’t agree. Therefore, the subconscious state is more receptive to suggestion than the conscious state.
What’s more, the subconscious mind holds all of the deep beliefs that drive our choices and decisions – and believe it or not, the wisdom we need to help us become who we have the potential to be.
During a hypnosis session, Hilary will discuss what you want to change and get a very clear indication as to ‘the way you work’, and how to best approach your treatment session.
She will then guide you into a trance state where you access the power of your subconscious mind. Hilary helps you to identify, release and re-frame old, self-limiting belief patterns and sow new seeds deep within the subconscious. This results in change happening during day to day life at a more rapid pace than if you attempted the same changes consciously.
As free will is always in the hands of the recipient, hypnosis should be regarded as a tool for change, to assist and help you give birth to the new you – it will not do it for you.

Being controlled by the hypnotist:
As the hypnotic state is a heightened state of awareness and concentration, you are in fact more in control over self in hypnotic state than in the normal conscious state.
Hypnosis works with the unconscious mind; a state of unconscious is something very different.
Hypnotherapy is only for people who can be controlled very easily (or gullible people):
Hypnotherapy involves the ability to concentrate and evaluate, therefore, it has been proven that the more intelligent of the population make the best clients for hypnosis!
Although you may look to be asleep while in trance you are in fact awake, just in a higher state of awareness, and completely in control, you can fib just as easily in hypnosis as you could do in the normal conscious state.
